Pradosham fast is observed by people on the 13th day of the lunar calendar which is also known as the Trayodashi tithiof the Krishna Paksha and Shukla Paksha, also known as Shivarathri. Pradosh comes twice in a month. As per the Shiva Purana, Pradosh Vrat is considered to be the most beneficial fast in order to attain health, wealth, and children. The Pradosh Vrat liberates the devotees from all the past and present sins.
